Operation Vets with Nets is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization offering freshwater fishing excursions on Lake Gaston in North Carolina/Virginia & Moyock, NC on select weekends to Barter Authority Members & their guest, Adults & children 10 years of age & up with an adult being fully responsible for minors.

Excursion Provides: Bait, fishing rods, & Coast Guard required life vest onboard for each adult.

Please Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing.
Small, personal-size cooler with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
Any youth ages 10 - 14 must supply and WEAR a Coast Guard-approved type I, II, or III personal floatation device appropriate for the current weight. The device must be snug-fitting and carry the U.S. Coast Guard-approved label.
A valid fishing license for each participant. Moyock, NC requires NC fishing license for participants age 16 or older. Lake Gaston NC allows both NC or VA fishing licenses for participants 15 and older.

Once booked, no refunds are permitted.

All trips are weather permitting. When possible, a minimum of 24-hour notice will be given to participants if a cancellation is required due to inclement weather.
Participants must give a minimum of 24-hour notice if they or anyone in their group are unable to participate.

Tips are not required but are ACCEPTED as a donation if you feel we went above and beyond your expectations.

Mission and Goal:
Operation Vets with Nets, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military and retired service personnel and disabled veterans through Cat and Striper fishing.
Our goal is to open the outdoors to active duty and retired service members, as well as veterans with various disabilities, including those bound to a wheelchair, to the world of fishing. We provide a means of healing through an all-expense-paid freshwater fishing adventure. Our fishing trips will focus on catching Catfish as well as Striper. These trips will be conducted by the founder and/or a Board-approved local fishing guide volunteer.
